Bengaluru, March 26, 2025: QatarEnergy LNG, which is widely recognized as the world’s leading LNG company, has awarded an Ultra Mega Offshore Contract to Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) Hydrocarbon Business (L&T Energy Hydrocarbon – LTEH) for the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Project (NFPS COMP 4). Notably, this marks the largest single contract ever secured by L&T.
Project Scope: Engineering a Global Energy Giant
The scope of work under this monumental contract includes comprehensive engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of two massive offshore compression complexes. Each complex will consist of:
- Offshore platforms with advanced compression and power generation facilities,
- State-of-the-art living quarters to house workers,
- Flare platforms,
- Bridges connecting different platforms, and
- Other essential offshore infrastructure.
These installations will be located approximately 80 kilometers northeast of Qatar’s coastline.
