On this occasion, Mr. S R Ola, Chairman and Managing Director of Jet Serve Aviation Private Limited and the FlyOla group said: “We are honored to be judged the ‘Best NSOP of the Year’ at Wings India 2024. This prestigious award, in its true sense, is an acknowledgement of the continuous efforts of our entire team, who worked tirelessly towards ensuring service excellence. As we surge ahead, this award prods us to scale new heights and reaffirm our commitment to set new benchmarks in Indian aviation industry. I, on behalf of my team, hereby express my extreme gratitude to the jury of Wings India 2024 for recognizing our efforts and making this possible. We also thank our clients and each and every stakeholder for their steadfast trust in us and look forward to their continued patronage and blessings.”

Jet Serve Aviation has been in the aviation business since 2006 and is a pioneer in the aviation industry. The Company boasts of offering a one stop solution for most services in the aviation sector in India.

We caught up with Mr. R Husain, an aviation industry stalwart and the Vice President of JSAPL, to know a bit more about Jet Serve. Husain, an MBA in Finance and Strategic Mgt from MDI, happens to be credited with a track record of executing start-ups, running successful ventures, scaling up businesses and efficiently managing P&L’s.

Husain brought out that the company owns and operates a fleet of 15 aircraft with another 6 in the pipeline. He enumerated the plethora of services that JSAPL is engaged in, which includes, but are not limited to:

  • Non Scheduled Airline Operations (AOP Holder)
  • Helicopter & Fixed Wing Pilot Training Services (FTO’s)
  • MRO Services (Part 145 approved).
  • Maintenance Service Provider to other Co’s
  • Aircraft parts/ spares supply to other operators
  • Aviation Training for Engineers (Part 147 Basic & Type Trg)
  • Skill Training in Aviation and Aerospace Sector

Husain said, “Jet Serve Aviation is DGCA approved and has maximum number of authorizations and licenses covering operations, training, maintenance, continued airworthiness and ground handling. We are as on date, in a position to offer most solutions as a ‘bouquet of services’ from a single point, instead of fragmented, multiple contracts and handlers, that the Indian aviation sector had to deal with all this while.”

He went on to add, “We are head quartered at Sector 77, Gurugram with our own hangar and helipad in the compound. We have several FTO’s and approved CAR 145 maintenance bases spread across India, with Khajuraho, Jalgaon, Delhi to name a few. We pride ourselves to be the first full-fledged Helicopter FTO in Asia and our dedicated team of FTO Management, managing both fixed wing and choppers, includes renowned Industry experts and veterans.”

When prodded to comment on the profitability of the General Aviation Industry, Husain quipped, “General aviation companies are largely profitable but the scale drastically varies depending on factors such as efficient operations, wise investment in aircraft and facilities, effective cost management and constantly adapting and keeping pace with the demands of a fluctuating market. Strong business planning, customer service, people management and adherence to industry regulations are crucial for boosting bottomlines in the general aviation sector and that is exactly, we at JSAPL are focusing on these days.”

  1. With most trained manpower having been sucked up by scheduled airlines like Indigo & Air India, there is a vacuum left in general aviation. Pilots, Engineers & technician salaries are soaring & there is very little that NSOP operators can do.. Already started hurting the industry..
