- Significantly Reduces Electricity and DG Fuel Costs by 60% in FY 2024 Using Solar and ESS Solutions.
- Aims to Meet Net Zero Goals by Adding Another 125 KW Solar and 500 KWh ESS in FY 2026.
PURE EV, one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers, has taken a major step toward achieving net zero carbon emissions. By integrating 500 KWh of Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) and a 125 KW solar system with DG and Grid at its Telangana facility, the company has achieved a 60% reduction in power bill costs and a 65% reduction in DG fuel bills compared to FY 2023.
PURE EV’s Commitment to Net Zero Carbon Emissions
PURE EV’s solar installation enables the company to harness renewable energy effectively, significantly reducing electricity consumption from the grid. The 500 KWh ESS integration with solar, grid, and DG systems has also decreased peak load KVA charges by 50%, further enhancing operational efficiency and cutting fuel costs.
Circular Economy in EV Batteries
The 500 KWh installed capacity comprises refurbished batteries, repurposed from customers who exchanged their older batteries for the latest 5th generation high-performance models. This initiative reflects PURE EV’s commitment to environmental sustainability and its efforts to promote a circular economy in EV batteries.
Dr. Nishanth Dongari, Founder and Managing Director of PURE EV, remarked:
“We are happy that our actions stay true to our genesis of Power Using Renewable Energy (PURE), which not only helps us reduce our environmental impact but also significantly cuts energy costs. By harnessing the power of solar energy in combination with cutting-edge energy storage technology, we are making powerful strides toward a more sustainable future. This approach reduces reliance on non-renewable resources, enhances operational efficiency, and ensures both environmental and economic benefits. As we continue to innovate and integrate green technologies into our business model, we reinforce our commitment to sustainability and shape a cleaner, more energy-efficient tomorrow.”
Future Plans for Net Zero Carbon Emissions
PURE EV is expanding its renewable energy efforts, planning to add another 125 KW solar system and 500 KWh ESS by 2026. These enhancements will accelerate the company’s journey toward achieving net zero carbon emissions at its plants and offices.
