As charges and counter charges fly thick and thin, over 1 lakh citizens spend sleepless nights worrying over UP Government’s DHFL exposure.
The Uttar Pradesh government has an investment of over Rs 2,600 crore of the state power corporation employees’ provident fund in scam-hit housing finance firm DHFL.
The Adityanath government accused the previous Akhilesh Yadav dispensation of “opening the gate of corruption” by taking the “dubious” decision of investing part of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) employees’ provident fund (EPF) in DHFL.
The Samajwadi Party accused the BJP of diverting the attention of the public by blaming party chief and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, while the Congress demanded the resignation of state Energy Minister Shrikant Sharma.
According to Sharma, UPPCL director (finance) Sudhanshu Dwivedi and Praveen Kumar Gupta, the then secretary of the state power employees trust and UPPCL provident fund trust, began the actual investment in the DHFL from March 2017 without bringing the matter to the knowledge of the power utility’s managing director.
Sharma said the two officials began investing the UPPCL’s EPF in the Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (DHFL) despite a clearance to deposit the money for a fixed period in the Punjab National Bank (PNB).
Gupta and Dwivedi have already been arrested and an FIR was registered at the Hazratganj police station in Lucknow.
Adityanath had on Saturday recommended a CBI probe into the investment of Rs 2,631.20-crore EPF of the UPPCL in DHFL.
Incidentally, the DHFL promoters were also recently grilled by the Enforcement Directorate for their alleged links with a front company of Iqbal Mirchi, a former aide of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim.
Detailing chronology of the investment decision, Sharma said: “During the Akhilesh Yadav’s regime on April 21, 2014, it was decided that if there are options of getting more interest, the amount of EPF and GPF (general provident fund) can be invested there (DHFL).”
“By taking this decision, the gates of corruption were opened (during the SP regime),” the minister said.
“The process of investment was carried forward in 2016 and, on December 17, 2016, the trust’s secretary (Gupta) and UPPCL’s finance director (Dwivedi) were authorised for this,” he said. “After this, from March 2017, the process to investment of the EPF money in DHFL began.”
According to Sharma, a committee was constituted within two days after getting a complaint of the “dubious investment” on July 10 this year. The report was submitted on August 29 and the government had initiated strict action on the basis of its recommendations.
The minister pointed out that the energy department portfolio was with Yadav at that time.
“He (Akhilesh) is trying to put our government in the dock alleging corruption, but he should reply why his government prepared the ground for corruption. Was not the entire matter going on Akhilesh’s directions?” Sharma asked.
The Samajwadi Party hit back at the BJP and dubbed the allegations “false”.
“The ruling party, which is neck deep in corruption, is diverting attention of the public. It is levelling false allegations due to politics of hatred,” it tweeted. “BJP minister Sharma ji who has taken a donation of Rs 20 crore from DHFL must answer ‘yeh rishtaa kya kehlaata hai’ (what is relationship is called)?”
Priyanka Gandhi accused the BJP-led dispensation of investing the money of UPPCL’s employees in “dubious” companies.
“Whose interest was to be served by investing more than Rs 2,000 crore of the employees’ hard-earned money in such a company? Is it justified to play with the future of the employees?” Priyanka Gandhi had asked in a tweet.
#DHFL

Taking a dig at Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Sharma said: “She (Priyanka), too, should tell the people why her husband (Robert Vadra) grabbed land of farmers in Bikaner and Haryana.” This did not seem to have any connect with the DHFL exposure issue though.
Slamming the Congress and the SP, Sharma said: “It’s laughable that the parties, whose names are synonymous with corruption, have levelled allegations against the government of a ‘sanyasi’.”
The state Congress had demanded that the energy minister be sacked.
“Why the BJP, which teaches lessons of morality, is not seeking the resignation of the energy minister of Uttar Pradesh?” state Congress spokesperson Ashok Singh asked on Twitter. “After such a major scandal in the UP Power Corporation, why the chief minister is fixing blame on ‘chhote log’, and not sacking the energy minister. Will Yogi ji tell as to why is the energy minister not being removed?”
State Congress chief Ajay Kumar Lallu said the party would launch an agitation against the scandal and continue to fight for the employees unless “every single penny is recovered”.
Sharma said the government would ensure the recovery of the money left with the DHFL and the guilty would be dealt with strictly. He sought to assure the power corporation’s employees that the government would take any steps needed to protect their interest.
In a statement on Sunday, All India Power Engineers Federation chairman Shailendra Dubey said: “UP Power employees welcome the decision to go for CBI enquiry. But we demand that the chairman and managing director of UP Power Corporation Limited be removed for independent probe.
“This was helpful. A cheap SMM panel can really help new creators and startups get visibility without spending a fortune. It’s all about choosing the one with transparent pricing and real user support.”

“Car Sicko’s whole aesthetic and branding hit different. It’s like they’ve built a culture around attitude and authenticity. Love seeing smaller brands like this disrupt the streetwear scene in such a creative way.”
The concept of a civil regime plays a crucial role in shaping the governance and social order of any modern state. Unlike military regimes, which rely on force and often operate under authoritarian principles, civil regimes emphasize the rule of law, democratic values, and the protection of individual rights. This distinction is fundamental because it highlights the importance of civilian control over government institutions, ensuring that power is exercised with accountability and transparency.
Takashi Murakami, one of the most influential contemporary artists from Japan, has long been celebrated for his colorful, pop-art-infused creations. While his paintings, sculptures, and installations have cemented his status in the fine art world, Murakami’s influence extends far beyond galleries and museums. One of the most exciting facets of his career has been his work in fashion, particularly through the launch and evolution of Takashi Murakami clothing. This fusion of high art and wearable design exemplifies how the boundaries between art and fashion continue to blur in today’s culture.
“I’ve followed Stüssy for years and the 13/13 drop is hands down one of the most intriguing collections they’ve done. The design language feels like a blend of raw underground energy and refined streetwear heritage. Every piece feels intentional, and I love how the branding is bold yet not overpowering. They’ve really hit a perfect balance with this one.”
Ed Hardy is such a nostalgic brand for me. I remember when it first blew up in the early 2000s and everyone from celebrities to local skaters were rocking those bold, tattoo-inspired prints. What made Ed Hardy stand out was its unapologetic fusion of art and fashion. Don Ed Hardy’s tattoo legacy was reimagined in a way that turned everyday clothing into wearable rebellion. I feel like we’re seeing a resurgence in that aesthetic today—people are craving that gritty, expressive style again.
In the rapidly evolving digital age, social media marketing (SMM) has become a crucial tool for individuals, influencers, and businesses aiming to grow their online presence. One of the most effective solutions within this domain is the Painel SMM, or SMM panel. Despite being widely used, many are still unaware of what an SMM panel is, how it works, and why it can be beneficial for marketing strategies. This article dives into the concept of Painel SMM, its features, advantages, risks, and how to use it responsibly.
Kanye West’s pullover is known for its simplicity. It’s often oversized, earth-toned, and devoid of logos or graphics. While many brands strive to catch attention with bold designs and flashy colors, Kanye takes the opposite approach. His pullovers reflect a muted, refined aesthetic—one that values form, fit, and fabric over logos and hype. This design ethos is deeply rooted in his Yeezy Season collections, which emphasize neutral palettes and comfort-driven silhouettes.
Kapital’s aesthetic isn’t for everyone, but that’s exactly what makes it special. Some of the designs can be pretty out there, but when styled right, they’re incredibly unique. Prices are on the higher end, but you’re paying for creativity, quality, and a sense of individuality that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Mr Winston has completely nailed the aesthetic of luxury loungewear. From the oversized cuts to the subtle branding, there’s a confidence in the simplicity of their pieces. It’s rare to find clothing that’s both understated and statement-making at once. I also appreciate their consistent color palettes—neutral, yet bold.

The Pokémon Center has always been such a comforting element in the franchise. Whether I was playing Red on my Game Boy Color or watching the anime as a kid, seeing that familiar red-roofed building always brought a sense of relief. It’s amazing how Game Freak designed such a simple mechanic—healing your Pokémon—yet made it feel like a warm, safe space in an often dangerous world. Even now, decades later, I find myself smiling when that healing jingle plays.
In the ever-evolving world of fashion, a new trend has emerged that bridges the gap between high art and everyday wear—Realism Hoodies. These garments do more than just keep you warm; they serve as mobile canvases that showcase detailed, life-like artwork inspired by realism, a movement in visual art that emphasizes accurate and unembellished depictions of subjects. Realism hoodies are more than a fashion statement—they’re a cultural conversation.
In the crowded digital age, where identities are fragmented and the noise of self-promotion grows louder by the day, a term like “Noneofus” emerges as a striking counterpoint. It is not a group, not a movement, and not even a name in the traditional sense—it is a whisper of resistance against the idea of individualism as performance. Noneofus is everyone and no one. It represents the shared alienation, the quiet rebellion, and the interconnected anonymity that defines the modern human experience.
